Associazione San Marcellino

The aim of the Associazione San Marcellino is promoting individually, socially and spiritually the human dignity of homeless people, to help them come back into the society and participate rightfully and with possibility of expression in the social contest in which they live. It can count on a network of more than 500 volunteers. Over the past two decades, the mediation work has been carried out locally, nationally and internationally, mostly through the Fondazione San Marcellino, which is the instrument of the Jesuits’ social action in Liguria. Its mission is continuing any useful initiative to prevent marginalisation and to promote social justice. A cooperation agreement with the Università degli Studi di Genova has been subscribed by Fondazione San Marcellino since 2017.
