MATERIAL ANALYSIS & CLASSIFICATION

One of the main parts of WP2 was the Mapping task, which aimed at mapping “the training proposals and practices used in PSIT (Public Service Interpreting and Translation Service) in participating countries (at least at local and some strategic regional level, chosen because of good practices present)” to have an updated picture of DIALOGOS’ relevant training materials and programmes.

Among the different programmes and materials analysed, the Italian team selected a total of 40 teaching programmes (9 in Greece, 15 in Spain and 16 in Italy) and 55 training materials (18 related to healthcare, 9 related to legal settings, 18 related to mixed settings like intercultural communication and humanitarian aid, and 10 related to refugees). This thorough selection, was included in a detailed and extensive Excel spreadsheet.

To start working on WP3, we analysed the materials thoroughly selected by the Italian Team and classified them. To achieve this, we follow these steps:

  1. Literature review on classification of training resources;
  2. Selection of resources, materials, practices, and programmes considered to be particularly relevant for the development of our own training course;
  3. Analysis and classification of the selected resources
